Pretty Prairie EMS Recipient of Grant Funds
The Pretty Prairie volunteer EMS department will receive a $500 grant from the FHLB #500forGood Program, thanks to an application submitted by CBK employee Leslie Epp.
The Federal Home Loan Bank in Topeka (FHLB) launched the #500forGood program in 2018 which is open to member banks; Citizens Bank of Kansas is a member bank. The program encourages bank employees to submit applications detailing how grant funds would be used in their community. Leslie Epp, Mortgage Loan Specialist with CBK, is also a member of the Pretty Prairie volunteer EMS department and submitted the application on their behalf.
“Leslie is a key employee at CBK. The fact that she devotes so much of her time as a volunteer EMS in Pretty Prairie illustrates her passion to help those in the community,” said Jane Deterding, Chairman of Citizens Bank of Kansas. “In recognition of the good work that the EMS department does – and Leslie’s commitment – CBK is matching the grant funds with a $500 donation to Pretty Prairie EMS.”
